Sounds exactly like the other TE that went to Texas (Billingsley) that was also a head case/lazy player and flamed out pretty fast over there.

Hate the portal, but do not want or need players who aren't all in for playing at Alabama and these guys obviously weren't. As Saban said, "those guys are in the portal for a reason". Who knows whether another team will offer them even more money to quit again and go somewhere else.

We're just fine with the team we have and need not pine for those who chose to quit.

Bond is a great player, you’d rather have him than not. But I could see Bama being better long term letting the younger guys get time.
Bonds is WR1 at Texas, but he is one of 4 Texas WR's that already have 2 TD's in a game.

Other than Michigan, we have had at least 10 guys catch a pass every game.
