In the second one, UT's Track Coach, Bubba Thorton headed the USA Track Team. He FIRED UA head coach John McDonnell for being un-American because he continued to coach Irish distance runners who were on the track team at Arkansas.
At that point, how many NCAA Track Championships had Thorton won at UT? Zero.
McDonnell? Forty-two.

Is that list about obesity or who has tennis courts, gyms, and basketball courts?
The stats are clear, Southern states lead the nation in obesity year in and year out. I can understand how their cities don't make the Fat City list because they have so few actual cities.

Every state has strengths and weaknesses. I don't have a problem with the state of Texas. The longhorns have traditionally had some very tough football teams. Darrell Royal was a very good coach when he coached them. They've always had good football teams and always will. But I never thought I'd ever see the day when I thought their athletic program and fans would act like a bunch of big ol' pussies.
