Let’s have a preseason bracket for all the teams that were ranked in the top 12 but got left out.
You know. Texas. Michigan. Tennessee.
The other bowls can host that aren’t in the CFP.
Sort of like the NIT tournament in basketball. That way everyone gets a tournament to play in and the winner of the “NIT” actually has some bragging rights.

Preseason football polls are meaningless and should be ignored entirely.
Validating them with even an NIT-style tournament grants them undue legitimacy.
