If you think Arkansas fans in general are more excited about playing Mizzou than current SEC West teams, you're out of your damned mind. That's some serious wishful thinking.

Yeah, see this is the perfect example of dumb, simplistic smack I'm talking about that Mizzou has to put up with.
If you followed 2007 AT ALL (and based on how many of you showed up at the Cotton Bowl I know you did) you would know that EVERYONE across the nation agreed that Mizzou got badly jobbed out of the BCS that year, from #1 ranking to out of the BCS was universally agreed to be a crime. And all the same, we were one half of football away from the national title game which is all its really about anyway. When is the last time Arkansas was just one half of football away from the national title game? Has that happened this decade by chance? Yes? No? Didn't think so.

I guess Mizzou makes up for having a tiny fanbase by being extra retarded and angry.
Yeah, we've been sitting here in the SEC West for the last 20 seasons, playing two of our longest-standing opponents and the cream of the college football crop, yet we're just pining for a "rival" like Mizzou.
Arkansas missed playing one team when they joined the SEC--Texas. Texas is still the team Arkansas has played the most times in our history. And Texas never considered us as their main rival past the 1960s.
Hell, we were probably their third most hated rival.
We also missed playing A&M a little bit, but nothing like Texas. Mizzou ain't Texas, and never will be Texas.
Mizzou doesn't really register any more than KU. Larry isn't all that far from Fayetteville, either, if proximity is the basis for this "rivalry". And KU has actually succeeded in a sport, whereas Mizzou hasn't really done much in any sport, ever.

holy shite the moral victories are piling up. And I remember that year, I remember the only top 20 team besides mighty KU that you played that year was OU, and they beat you by double digits both times.

Yeah, keep them coming. Also simplistic and stupid. Mizzou has had the worst luck of any BCS conference teams in terms of number of NCAA tourneys without a Final Four. Has to happen to someone, we are them. So what. The Big Dance is all about upsets and crazy one and done drama. Duke got upset by Lehigh this year. VCU and Butler and George Mason make Final Fours. It's a crazy and stupid standard to judge a program by.
Your precious Nolan Richardson Final Four teams? Well lets recap. In 1990, Mizzou was ranked #1 much of the year and won on Arkansas' home court 89-88. You went to the Final Four and we didn't, but I will put my 1990 Mizzou team against yours 10 times and I know we'd win the series.
1994? Well Mizzou was a #1 seed in the West that year and was one game away from a rematch with you Piggies in Charlotte, but we lost in the Elite Eight. Still a 28-4, Top Ten team is something to be proud of thank you very much.
1995? Oh that's right that's the year Mizzou gave UCLA an infinitely tougher game in the second round before Tyus Edney's mad dash than you guys did in the Final Four. And while we were playing that game, you guys were screwing around with some team - I think Michigan - and had to rally from a large deficit not to lose in the second half yourself.
I could go on. But like I said, Mizzou lends itself to overly simplistic, lame smack like you trot out. But I know our history and how good we've been at times, and none of this kinda smack means jack to me.
