First SEC team to ever lose to Boise State....highly likely, yes. I just hope they can keep it close.

bama and ULM, MSU and maine, etc. etc.

However, unlike ole miss and MSU and others, Boise is actually a good team that is ranked in the top 10. It boggles my mind how so many people think the entire infrastructure of the SEC will crumble to the ground if we lose to boise, even though they're ranked 15 spots higher than us and are favored.

I hate them too, and if they played a real live schedule week in week out like the SEC they would be an 8-4 team at best every year. But that's not the argument here.

At best is right...you are generous.

And the reason it will be so bad is because Boise thinks they are deserving and the media won't shut up about how good they are...blah blah blah it is just so annoying and anytime they play an SEC school we need to prove they need to pipe down and enjoy the high schoolers they beat

We've never lost to Boise. Not sure where you are going......

Ohhhh, you were probably going to say Ohio State, right? Yea, LSU lost to them before we did.

I know, a few SEC teams have lost to them, but none in a bowl game. They were 0-fer and in your first BCS bowl ever you broke that streak when the entire conference was pulling for you.

So you have no room to talk about us losing to Boise, a team that is supposedly by all accounts better than us, that we arse thrashed a few short years ago.

What about SOS do you not understand? you do realize you directly contradict yourself with your very next sentence?

You sure you aren't Busey's alter messing with us? I know he was trying to convince us about how backwards their thinking was..

I don't have a lot of faith in Georgia to win this game, honestly. Their team looks solid on paper, sure, but I see Richt as a lame duck and you know Boise is going to be motivated.

And let's not kid ourselves, Boise is a good team that plays its best ball when they can get the underdog role secured, and my last exposure to Georgia was a complete abortion against UCF.

All in all, I think Georgia should win the game, but I have no confidence and think Boise pulls it out. I don't like that because then I have to hear week after week about how Boise took down the mighty SEC and once again Herbie will have blue stained teeth whenever he gets on ESPN.

If we were 3-8 going into the game then I'd agree. But geez it's game 1 and Richt and this whole entire staff KNOW (not speculation, they know and have been told) they're coaching for their jobs.

And with everything that has come out this offseason regarding attitudes, leadership, the S&C, everything...lame duck is the last phrase I would use to describe Richt right now.

Not sure if you'll be able to match it, all I'm saying.

I lack confidence in your team to beat Boise State. If they beat them, I'll be happy I was wrong because I actually like Georgia. I think they match up well, just not sure.

I am well aware of that, but Georgia has been sliding for a while now and I need to see something that shows me that trend has reversed that isn't just on paper before I can really start changing my opinion.

That's fair. I just happen to believe that from what I've heard/read about the team, in addition to concrete things we can point to (kicking off starters for nothing more than just being a bad apple), that things are finally turning around. This offseason has felt much more like the early Richt years than the past few, and that's a great thing.

But yes, obviously it won't mean a thing until we start actually winning games again.
