I agree with P4 teams that got in, but cancel G5. We all know what’s going to happen.

An utter waste of 2 CFP spots. Both teams will lose by over 30 points. You know it. I know it. It literally happened earlier this year when Tulane lost by 35 to OM. It has to be simply the Top 12 teams and no autobids.

Now for P4 spots, I completely agree. Bama had 4 ranked wins in a row, although they look much worse now than then. Notre Dame only beat USC, and that’s it. Miami beat ND, so yes to get in over them. If you’re going to penalize Bama for losing to the #3 team in the country in the SECG, then you have to penalize ND and Miami for not even making one.

As far as the spread test goes: I’d bet Miami would be the one left out on a neutral site 3 way tourney between them.

Tough situation. Drop the conference highest ranked auto bids. There will always be teams bitching at 12 or 16. Happens every year. Unavoidable.
