You're from flea infested swampland and even have "swamp" as part of your handle. That's something to be proud of. Face it, you know all about misery.

John Goodman is married to a Bogalusa gal Annabeth Hartzog, he met while filming Taylor Hackford's "Everybody's All American"..and like with Hack and Mirren, considers Nawlins home away from home.
Goodman is Mizzou by birth(like Brad Pitt), but both are Nawlins by choice!

I was lucky enough to have been a student at LSU when this was being filmed. Got to make a few bucks as an extra in a couple scenes and got to meet both Goodman and Dennis Quaid during filming. Found out I shared a birthday with Quaid. Both actors were really friendly and were a pleasure to be around. They weren't at all the snooty type that you'd expect the Hollywood types to be. Both were down to earth and great people.
It was pretty neat to come on set and see both of them wearing LSU sweatshirts between filming scenes. But, no matter the clothing they wore between shooting scenes, they both proved to be great guys and not at all "privileged." I can't sing their praises enough.

You really said a lot in your post with just a few words.

You are absolutely correct. The youngsters have no idea how they're getting played by the system and by those who are either more experienced or more jaded.
It would be really nice to believe that collegiate athletics are all about a good athlete being given a quality education in exchange for his or her athletic prowess. Unfortunately, collegiate sports are now big money and the athletes are their low wage employees. The individual universities that take advantage of these athletes are bad enough, but the organization known as the NCAA is at the center of the wrongful exploitation of college athletes.

I would say frick him and the team!
They all get paid, so I doubt they pass blame on the player who simply got caught. Players, in general, don't care nearly as much about the schools they play for as the fans do.
