do you respect us?

Sounds like a question I had to tiptoe around while lying in bed the next morning with a young gal I'd just met.

The correct answer is always "Yes."

No. I am asking a simple question. Is this approach helpful from a sports psychology standpoint, or is it hurtful?

What do you think?

I think it will not matter one way or the other.

If Saban can keep the players up beat and with a positive attitude then he did his job no matter what ploy he uses.

If they buy into the fact that they are a superior team and come out with fire and win then it worked.

If they buy into the fact that they are a superior team and get their butts whipped then it did not!

What I've noticed is that emotions last until the first quarter then the teams talent comes through or not depending on the level of coaching.

Personally, I could care less what Alabama players say, think, or do.

A cursory glance at your post history suggests that this statement is abject horseshite. You care, and you care hard. The problem is, you're about 20 days and 200 topics too late in your caring.

This is the normal comeback from them when they lose. Nothing to see here.

Well, technically, the 2010 Auburn and 2011 LSU losses were because we beat ourselves, however the other two games we lost last year weren't because we beat ourselves.
