the only point in adding AHC or HCIW tags are to justify a larger salary. This isn't a novel idea, it happens all over the place. I'm not quite sure what you expected to get out of this thread, however. Aranda's title and salary terms in his contract won't change if Alleva is fired.

well, it would assuredly be worse if LSU was replacing both coordinators in the offseason with a HC who was hired to be a CEO. Losing Aranda would have been devastating to the program. That's why LSU fans were thrilled that Alleva ponied up to pay him.

What they DID makes even less sense.
What's most likely to happen is that Ed Orgeron gets fired eventually because he is stupid. Then the administration is in the situation of trying to attract a new coach who doesn't mind being told out the gate who his coordinators are.
Or they promote Aranda. But he was just shopping around for a payraise.
