Say if Bama, UGA, LSU, UF, and A&M all finish in the top 8 of the BCS, would 3 SEC teams get in?

No. 2 at most from any conference, unless 2 teams from the same conference play in the BCSNCG. Since ND won, that rules out that scenario.

Two, unless two teams from the same conference are in the NC game. If USCw hadn't shite the bed tonight, the NC game would have been Bama/Georgia vs. Florida. And LSU would likely be going to the Sugar Bowl.
Frick Lane Kiffin and USCw!

It's actually more complicated than that. You need 2 teams who aren't the conference champion to play in the BCSNCG.

UF is in...top 4 BCS ranking is a mandatory BCS invite. ATL loser will be out....most likely.

Not only that, neither teams in BCSCG can be conference champions. The conference champion would be the 3rd team.

Man, I sure wasted a bunch of emotional energy watching the ND/USCw game! I thought if USCw won, then LSU could be the third SEC team (Sugar), with Bama/Georgia vs. Florida in the NC game. Apparently, LSU never had a shot for a BSC game after Florida won today - just another heartbreaker in a very frustrating year for LSU.

This would only be possible in a situation where the SEC champ had sucked in non-conf play, dropping a few games. Say Bama went undefeated all year and lost to South Carolina in the SECCG. South Carolina is a 3 loss team, dropping 3 non conf games but ran through the SEC west undefeated which is why they are the champion. Florida is undefeated, save for one conference loss to the Gamecocks.
You could have 1-loss Bama and 1-loss Florida in the BCSNCG, with 3-loss South Carolina in the Sugar Bowl.

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.
As crazy as it sounds, that is the only you can have 3 teams from one conference in the BCS.
