You have made a lot of great points in this thread.

Let’s revisit this topic when Bama drops their claim to 1941.

There is nothing to wait for. Alabama's 1941 claim isn't a legitimate claim and most Alabama fans who are familiar with the circumstances of that claim don't think it's legit either.

Yes but until they officially drop the 1941 claim then the door is wide open for Ole Miss to claim the arguably more legitimate years of 59, 60 and 62.

We both agree in the end it is meaningless.

Though I do miss when we could use 1980 to trigger UGA fans.

1939 is still fighting the good fight.

So the errors or others is justification for more errors?

What a shitty way to look at life.

For the record, Bama should just swap 1941 for 1966.

Have the last word if you like.

No they shouldn't. We didn't win it in 1966 either. Yes it sucks, but that's how it was. The reality and actual history of 1966 is that Alabama finished #3 behind 2 teams who tied on purpose(well 1 of them did anyway).

That's the actual history. And it's a hell of a lot more interesting than Alabama claiming a fake title.
