It's not like LSU is a basketball power. Alabama is in 3rd place in the standings.

Grant's main problem is that he has been HORRIBLE in recruiting big men/post players. The 3 post players he's recruited during his time at Bama include two 7 footers who can't rebound and have absolutely ZERO offensive skill. It really isn't an exaggeration to say that LSU's "Tuba" has at least as much offensive and rebounding skill as those 2 Bama big men. The other big man Grant recruited is a lock kneed 6' 8" guy with slow feet who is a defensive liability with limited offense who can't rebound either. I've followed Bama basketball for 30 years and this is BY FAR ( and it isn't remotely close) the most unathletic, unskilled group of big men on an Alabama team in school history. It's a shame too because we have some nice guards and we'd easily be an NCAA tourney team this year if we had a solid post player like Jamychal Greene from last year.

I think Bama's basketball will be as good as Bama's football as soon as Bama's football team goes in the tank.
