Played Bama in Oxford and not in Tiger Stadium.

Look, I'm pumped about the big win. But OM on Saturday did not look like a team that should beat Alabama. LSU has it's worst team since 2008, and managed to get the W.

We played Bama in Oxford and LSU in Death Valley. Clearly you've heard of the concept of home field advantage, no?

It's not hard to understand. First road game for a team with lots of talent but not much experience in the key positions on both sides of the ball. Playing in a jacked up environment against a team with maturity in key positions on both sides, senior leadership, and yet an intensity and underdog mentality of a program that hadn't beaten Alabama in years.

We all knew all of this before the season, but we assumed (and in the case of Alabama fans, hoped) that the talent of Alabama would overcome these obstacles. It did not, but almost.

It doesn't matter if you put your boot on their neck and take them out of the game early.

Teams play differently week in and week out. See A&M vs MSU and A&M vs UA.

I just don't see it. I didn't see a team Saturday night that looked like they belonged in the top 5, or even the top 10.

Not to discredit our win, because LSU needed it badly. But I really thought OM was better.

I love how the concept of team play differently week in and week out is lost on the rant.

Another example. How did LSU win 9-6 just to get embarrassed 21-0 later that year?

do you think that if OM/Bama were to have a rematch it'd have a similar outcome?

No. Teams are a certain amount of good. It's constant. Matchups don't matter, scheme doesn't matter, home field advantage doesn't matter. Do you think Auburn beats Ole Miss by 38 this weekend?

gotta play the game like you mean it. cant just show up and go through the motions. cant play sloppy. thats why games arent won on paper.

Please. You've hated on Ole Miss all season and now since LSU won a toss-up game your feelings have been validated?

What if an injury-riddled Ole Miss team beats Auburn this weekend? Still gonna convince yourself Ole Miss isn't any good?

I think they're probably the better football team, but we get them 7/10 times in Oxford.

you think bama was just "going through the motions" on a road SEC game?

you should try to find some of my pre season posts where I was having to convince OM fans that they'd field a good team this year. I predicted them to win the west in one thread.

I'm making an observation that OM didn't look like a top 10 team on Saturday, and that Alabama, IMO, is much better than them.
