How does South Carolina manage to be such dog shite

In both of the big sports? Just saw they lost to LSU in hoops. It doesn't make sense how they can be so bad in both sports when the state produces talent and it's surrounded by other states that produce loads of talent in football and basketball. No reason to not be good in at least in 1 of the big 2 sports.
