I know Earl, Herschel, and Bo should be 1,2 and 3 best all time, but have no clue what order to put them in..I would say Bo and Herschel probably had a better combo of power and speed than Earl, but Earl was probably more powerful than either one of them and would just destroy anyone that squared up to him 1 on 1, like literally their ancestors would feel the pain...It took piles of men to bring him down...
Ricky Williams might be up there in the top 5 too...The dude got a standing ovation from Nebraska's fans for running over there blackshirt defense for 300 plus yards back when Nebby was really good...
Adrian Peterson would probably be in the top 10 but somewhere between 5 and 10 all time..

While that may be true it has nothing
To do with his ability to stiff arm
And truck opposing defenders downfield

Hershel, Bo, and Earl. Maybe Earl would have got more carries when he started in college if he had been in the SEC.
You have to remember Earl's prime in the NFL was cut a year or two short from having to play the steel curtain at least twice a year. Dude was a warrior. Dished it out better than he got.

Barry Sanders would certainly be another I'd put in my top RB's list
Well he is the greatest running back of all time.

I know Bobby Humphrey and even he wouldn't say that.

Henry is one of 3 running backs ever to have a 2000 yard season. He broke Walker's record by almost a 100 yards and almost made 2000 in college too. He is an all time running back, and anyone who isn't insanely biased admits as such.

Earl seemed to do this also. He looked like he improved at it in the NFL.

The list is in error. It doesn’t include Fred Taylor.

Nick Chubb should be in the top 10, I'll let you debate where.
Herschel is 1, there is no debate.
If you think Bo is one, go review Bo quitting against Tennessee.

First off, your list has Herschel Walker at #2. That is bullshite. Walker is #1 and it ain't even close.
Earl Campbell would be either #3 behind Walker and Jackson, or at #2.

They don't, because they didn't perform vs SEC defenses week in and week out.
It's apples and oranges.

1) Leonard Fournette
2) Derrius Guice
3) Herschel Walker (1980 NC)
4) Bo Jackson

The SEC in the 1970’s, and even during Peterson’s time at OU, didn’t have the talent edge and mystique that it enjoys now. I guess the success those backs had in the NFL was because they managed to avoid those stout SEC defenses.

He played during the SWC days. He doesn't rank anywhere in the SEC because his stats were not from the SEC. If he did then these discussions would be more valid.

I rank Billy Sims and maybe Greg Pruitt over Peterson on OUs all-time list. Coulda woulda shoulda, but Marcus Dupree could have been the greatest of them all.

He would of had better stats...the SEC then isn't what it is now
