Maybe not but any school hiring him away has to pay us 18 million. He's here for a while. Don't boat too much. Les may find it hard to turn down Michigan again. He is after all a Meechigan man.

Don't you put that evil on us Kaiserhog!

We want Les! We want Les! To stay. Lifetime Contract.

somebody needs to read this fricking contract, because all this speaking in absolutes about it is most likely Arkansas fans blowing smoke out of their arse.

It decreases a few million each year. So yeah, you're looking at about 2017 as the earliest possible time that a school would pay Arkansas off to get him. By the time 2017 gets here, he will have won an SEC championship and there would be little incentive to go build up another program.

I stated he would be there a few years. But Arkansas isn't a destination, yet. It is still a stepping stone. Unless Petrino just loves Arkansas more than life itself, he will be a hot commodity in a few years.

Well, he is treated like a king here and gets everything that he asks for from the UA. He has said numerous times that he loves it here in Arkansas and doesn't want to be anywhere else. I know, I know, the Atlanta deal, but I think there was more to that than people know. He 'appears' sincere to me every time that I have seen him talk and I think I am a pretty good judge of people due to my former profession.

Nah, in three years ..with the way coaching salaries are increasing you would be looking at a big time program with a lot of money calling on Petrino. If he wins a NC or a couple of SEC titles.

By then, salaries for top coaches will be in the 5-6 million dollar range.

It doesn't sink below 10 million until 2016, and it was proposed by Petrino.

His buyout will decrease to $3.9 million in 2017. So yeah, I don't ever see a college paying a penny more than that to buyout his Arkansas contract.

And yes, Arkansas will win an SEC Championship in the next 5 years.

Keep laughing.

Probably how long you will have Petrino. If Arkansas does build into a top SEC program.

Petrino took this program out of the gutter, and has laid he foundation for a national power. It's not hard admitting that he is building something that wasn't here before he got here (in the modern era at least).

I guess we will have to see, but for you to guarantee that is just funny, considering you have won how many SECC's?

This was redone after year 3, which has gone from 5-7 to 10-3. Under your plan, we have him 5 additional seasons. At this rate, none of us can say if after year 4 he sees we're solid and does it all over again, lining his pockets again.

Seems like a nice plan to us.

We haven't won any SEC championships because Houston frickin Nutt was our coach from '98-'07.

Give Petrino that amount of time and great things are sure to happen.

That defense sure didn't look to great against OSU on the big stage. Hopefully Petrino gets the shot to prove himself a few more times. Because it sure did seem like he choked in parts of the game along with the receivers and defense as a whole in the 1st half.

Well, then he either pays the mutual buyout amount or gets sued by the University for breach of contract.

Lol, and then we go after......Mullen?? LOL
