hmm. I've been using the year of 1925 for a long time because that's the first national title for Alabama, winner of the Rose Bowl that year.

Now, though, with an updated search, I see that Alabama has won more games than any other team since 1896, and that includes the 30 games that the ncaa decided UA should forfeit or vacate.
