Chavis is a lot like Miles, no innovation and stuck in his old ways. He's just not a good hire for Arky.

People said the same about Kevin Steele.

Honeslty? As craptacular as our defense has been for a while even a mild improvement would seem like we have the Monsters of Midway playing for us. What I suspect is that with a new head coach in the SEC they wanted someone who had been around the block a few hundred times as his DC.

After all what could Chavis do we should be worried about? Field one of the worst defenses in modern football history? shite, we've done that recently. Give up a ton of points against not very good teams? Gosh that would certainly be new for us after the last 6 years.

I would imagine he hangs around for a couple of years padding his retirement account while CM gets settled in and then rides off into retirement.

You retards just don't get it. Chavis will be the best D coordinator Arkansas has had in years, no matter his faults. LSU and Aggy need to get over it, already.

Arkansas hasn’t been relevant since joining the SEC. Why should we expect anything different now?

This team looks soft and uninspired.

Chavis should probably refund the money for this past month, if we are being honest.

He is a better coach than he is showing today, he and the team look checked out.

I'm not sure its a Chavis problem, though he bears a lot of blame, or if its an A&M problem. The last lingering effects of the Sumlin regime. Unless they are playing us the Aggies have shown a noticeable tendency to completely collapse out of the blue in games.

One minute they look like a solid football team, the next they look like a local Jr. High team could whip them. Trust me, after the last few years of Bielema Ball, I know what that looks like.

Fisher may have to do some addition by subtraction and process some of these kids.

This is so true. Sometimes they look like they are strong team. Then in the blink of an eye they look terrible.

Again, Chavis is a good coach, so I am not sure if this is just an A&M thing, but he should be pretty disgusted with the product on the field.

Since 1999, LSU has finished in the top 25 15 out of 18 years (including this year).

Wanna guess how many Arkansas has finished in the top 25? Three.

I know its baffling. For Arkansas the pattern was clear under Bert, look pretty good in the first half and then collapse in the second half.

A&M can look good in the first half of the first quarter and then just go to pieces. Its baffling.

They have the same problem we had under Bielema (except for when we were playing Ole Miss). When they get punched in the face they just curl up in a ball.

Say what you will about Gus Malzahn getting stuck in a rut and losing a game, but I've never Auburn just suddenly turn to complete garbage out of the blue. Or Bama.

hahaha...
You're right -- he will be the best DC you've had in years - but you will still be the worst defense in SEC West.

hahahahahahaha

Not looking good, baw! We'll find out Monday. Seems teams with coaching changes and rumored changes don't do well in bowls.

Looks pretty good to me. 3 turnovers.

Of course, Arkansas hasn't hired a DC....
