At Tiger Stadium, bleachers in the east, north and west sections of the lower bowl have deteriorated and will either be replaced or reinstalled depending on their condition, David said. The south section will not be treated because maintenance was done two years ago. The process starts with the removal of all bleachers in the aforementioned areas, David said. The concrete where the bleachers were removed will then be cleaned and waterproofed. David said waterproofing involves application of a topical coating to the concrete. The replacement or reinstallation of the bleachers will complete the project, making for sturdier seating on gamedays while protecting the concrete structure of the stadium for long-term use. These precautions will be complete before the first home game of the coming season on Sept. 6, David said. They will amount to $1.6 million.

Nope, I didn't see anyone, thank God. I was scared they were gonna shut the gate for the night while I was inside though
The construction workers were putting in solid work

Would have made for a good excuse to make your way out through the tunnels.

The computer generated and artist mockups really did this expansion no justice. It's much bigger than I think most people anticipated. Say what one will about Alleva, but I'm glad he's committed to keeping Tiger Stadium the cathedral of college football.
Also, no word yet on what's going on with the north ez jumbotron? It looks like the video boards have been totally removed but they're only about 4 years old. Maybe they're being replaced and the current ones are being reused somewhere else? (PMAC, new tennis facility?)

Alleva stated in an interview this week that there will be 3 new "HD quality" screens next season.

Based on this...
...I'm starting to think there may be legs to that story.
Edit: These would be the other two HD screens...
...we'll be finding out soon:

LSU senior associate athletic director Eddie Nunez said the twin video boards will go up later this spring and that the construction won't hamper the LSU spring game on April 5 nor the Bayou Country Superfest May 23-25.
"All indications are we will be right at the 100,000 mark, up to about 101,000," Nunez said.

That'd be awesome! Not sure what was wrong with the quality of picture from the old board though? Of course there were too many ads, but I always thought picture quality of that one was just fine.

Actually considering there was close to a foot of snow on the field for a week it doesn't look horrible... maybe they forgot to use Scott's lawn care
27 days ...and counting until home opener
Why can't our grass look like this ?
