Congrats on Ware being a Sophomore. Now what is Lacy again?

I think he is the 4th best back in the league. JMO.

That reminds me, I should do my Top 5 SEC RB's thread. Not much has changed though. Maybe I will wait until after Nov. 5th to update.

This is not true.

Eddie Lacy is a straight up RB.

EL will juke you out of your shoes and can break away if you give him a step.

I really don't know about that Fowler kid. I've seen him in a few games and he looked painfully slow. I hope he's not the next feature RB at Alabama bc he is definitely not cut from the same cloth as Richardson and Ingram. (well hope for yalls sake I mean )

I'll easily take Lacy over Ware, have yet to be impressed with Ware. Lacy averages twice the amount of ypc over Ware.

Back ups almost always have a higher ypc than the starter.

More than 55% of Lacys carries come while Alabama is 15+ points ahead in a game, though. To compare, 25% of Wares carries come in while LSU is winning by 15+. 34% of Michael Fords carries come while lSU is winning by 34%.

50% of Bama's attempts happen with a 15pt lead. Normally the Lacy stat could mean something, but Bama is crushing everyone.

I've watched him a good bit. I wouldn't say I am not impressed with him as much as there are a handful of other SEC RBs that are more impressive or as impressive.

I like Ware though.

so is LSU. Trent also has ~26% of his carries when Alabama is winning by 15+

Point is.. both teams starters has come out during big leads. It's natural for your backups to post gaudy stats against beaten down and inferior competition. That is why it's stupid to look at Lacy and Fowlers ypc. That's why backups tend to have higher ypc than the starter.

Remove TR for next year and insert Hillard, this is the name that all will be hearing for the next 2 years.

Now this I can agree with, but to say one has yet to be impressed with Ware, just foolish.

Think we discussed this before the season.
Bama rotates the second back in throughout the game, usually get the third series and two out of first six. Not really coming in, in the fourth at slop time against tired D. To that point, TR is averaging much more ypc this year than he did the last two years as a "backup"

That's because Trent is elite He was really a co-starter last year, IMO, though.

I'm talking about Lacy, when 50% of his carries come during a 15+ point lead.. well, it diminishes the accomplishment of his ypc a little How will he be as a feature back do you think? He'll do absolutely fine IMO. His ypc will probably drop a full yard or two.. but he's good and will be productive.

Someone has to get those carries.. but that's where Lacys stats have piled up. If Hart was healthy I'm sure those would be his carries, and his ypc would also be stupid high.
