Seriously right now TAMU has the distinction of being the only school in Texas that can claim affiliation with the SEC. Baylor, TCU, Tech, and UT can't offer that. In the past TAMU was under the shadow of Austin but not anymore.

It is a transition year. SC will get a good coach. See Frank Martin. And with OBC stepping aside, you have a head start on the search that will minimize recruiting losses.
