Not too many years ago the “Mighty” Gators lost on their home field to Ga Southern. GSU was a lower division team at that time and had left 19 players home in Statesboro - several who were starters - for violation of team rules. That was priceless! GSU and UGA are still laughing about it

I’m talking about probably the most embarrassing day in Florida football history. MSU isn’t much but I don’t recall them suffering such a humiliation. This was not a typical Ga Southern team that had won many national titles either. It was one of the worst teams GSU had ever put on the field until they pushed those all those Gator faces in the mud
