Has LSU become Auburn? Success is defined as simply beating Alabama and derailing their season?

Had Alabama won that LSU game, they still would have had to beat Georgia in the SEC championship to make the playoffs. They already had one loss, and a two loss team wasn’t getting in. As flawed as that Alabama team was, even with all the success Saban had against Kirby, Alabama likely would have lost to Georgia. Georgia dog walked LSU and they may have done the same to Alabama.
