You may be right, but I've found that the majority of the elite players are huge competitors and winning trumps most everything else. Look at the pro super stars who take cuts in pay and other benefits to go play where they feel that they can win a title. There's NOTHING like winning that championship ring!

PS- After giving Clowney some thought...you're probably right about him.

Recruits in high school want a collegiate National Championship title/ring..I believe that's who we're talking about.

We're talking about the allure of the possibility of playing for a Nat'l Championship, not choosing between that and being the 1st pick of the draft!

Some kids would want to start three years and then head to the draft. Look at all the QB’s transferring. Kid that went from Ohio State to Miami. More about him starting than national championship. Kelley Bryant going to play for a national championship at Mizzou?
