eh. Auburn was a one-hit wonder anyways. time for the Bus to move on.
How do you explain our very similar football histories?

When Cutcliffe was hired by an SEC bottomfeeder in between the SECCG and the BCSCG he chose not to coach the BCSCG, what will Gus do?

By the way, I can almost basically confirm Malzahn to Vandy. The only way he's not going is if he wants to hold off for a better offer, from what I've heard. Good luck, Gus

ed more proof of the Aubsession that goes on with this board? The stickied Muschamp thread from yesterday has been passed in less than an hour by this one.
if Auburn was 5-7 it wouldnt be as big a deal. 13-0 and going to the national championship and possibly losing one of the best OC's in the nation is big news [even though he'll still coach the NCG no matter what]. i dont see how that surprises you.

Staying at AU would be the career killer, the NCAA will surely make a coach or two show cause when all of this is over. The ones left standing will not be highly sought after. Chizik sent out feelers to Florida and did not even get a courtesy Thanks but no thanks.

I wonder if Trooper Taylor knows how much of a clown he is to people. I heard Chavis and several other coaches couldn't stand him at Tennessee.
Fat arse loser Chavis didn't like him? I bet Trooper loses a lot of sleep over that. I bet Chavis didn't like Trooper and Auburn's offense making his defense look like children to the tune of 440 either.

Vandy will become somewhat interesting now. They will still be a bottom feeder, but a MUCH more dangerous one. Good luck to Gus. I will pull for Vandy now.
As others have said, our search for a new OC should be fun.

Which one had had multiple HEAD coaching positions?
Posted on 12/12/10 at 5:18 pm to AUTigLN11
Well one of the two will fight with Alabama and Arkansas for the West next year and it will not be AU....LSU has talent, Alabama has talent, Ark has coaching and some talent, AU had a wonderful year but it was a combo of a great player and a bunch of seniors. Now that both are gone AU has no way to go but down.

Don't be angry. Be happy. I can assure that Auburn's offense won't roll next year the way it did this year. In the meantime, Chavis will continue to cash checks Trooper Taylor will probably never see in his life.

When Cutciffe left Tennessee the second time Chavis told Fulmer if Trooper was named OC he was leaving and Troop told Fulmer if he wasn't named OC he was leaving. Fulmer told TT to hit the road.

Trooper did a very good job this year. I cant say I care for his antics but his receivers played well and actually appeared to be well coached despite his rep as mainly a recruiter. However I have heard some rumors from at least one very credible source that he is looking elsewhere as well. He could even leave with Gus.

And? You think GM's frosh recruits care about his title at all of these stops?
