I do think Canada has been saving our TE's and FB directed plays for a tougher team as not to show it early.

Could be and would be a smart move.

I sure as hell know our D is just as good as last year and Fitz didnt do shite.

What a sad thing Miles did to our fanbase to have to worry about State.

Yep.. You would be proud to have a QB that before LSU 2016 had a whooping 178 yards, only had 120 @ LSU....... BUT managed to End up with about 4000 yards and 37TDs.

keep reaching.

I'll guarantee our YPC is higher through the first 2 games this year than last year.

Actually, it's not and that's even with play a top Wisconsin team.

So to recap.... You are rushing less per carry this year without facing a top team.

Actually you're right. Through 2 games last season LSU rushed for 5.5 ypc. Through 2 games this year LSU is rushing for 5 ypc. A whopping .5 per carry difference. So with a slightly injured Guice, a new system and coordinator, and giving 3rd/4th/5th string backs carries we are basically averaging the same YPC.

Not just 2 games. Let's be truthful. You had a TOP team you faced making it harder to run. Wisconsin was a top 10 defense and #3 in the NATION against the rush.

So it's not the same at all.

BYU is ranked 74th.

Against lesser talent, your numbers are way down across the board in rushing

I still feel like once the new offense is comfortable and the blocking scheme is down pat the ypc will get better. Also once the TE's and FB's are more involved in the passing game it will open up the run. IMO
