Saban realizes this more than anybody!

Part of being a college coach is recruiting good players.
I've never understood why this conversation takes place.

He also lost to UL Monroe and that 2008 team had 5* talent. He's a recruiter. If he was as good at coaching as you want to advertise then all these years he's had the most talent no one would have every touch any of his teams.
You have the IQ of wet cardboard.

You're a fricking idiot if you don't think Nick Saban can coach.
all money and cheating
]and it is NOT just buying players; it is having officiating in his pocket as well

A college football coach wears many hats - he recruits, hires a staff, coaches/develops both players and coaching staff, disciplines, motivates, establishes a culture, etc, etc…
Nick Saban has the best combination of the above than any other college coach, period.

If he is the greatest coach, just go coach the men up. With all the hate over how NIL works, it sounds as if he may be the greatest coach of a number 1 recruiting class only.
You really think he would have all those national championships if it weren’t for all the great recruits he has been getting?

There were four five star athletes on that 2008 squad for Alabama: Julio Jones, Andre Smith, B.J. Scott, and Tyler Love.
Andre Smith was recruited to Alabama by Shula in 2006, B.J. Scott barely played while at Alabama, and Tyler Love might just be the biggest five star bust in the history of recruiting rankings. Of the three five stars brought in by Saban in that initial class, only Julio Jones made an impact in 2008 and his starting QB was named John Parker Wilson.
