keep going then and let me know when you get to hard numbers like installation, maintenance, replacement, disposal costs.

You just don't get it. It's a cost reducer yearly for a school. I have had to work enough Budgets. Plus you can spread the costs of instillation around in the different programs. Instead of having separate game sites you get one. Cost reduction

so spreading the cost around reduces the cost? OK.

Now if you say you want to have a multipurpose field like mixing Lacrosse, Soccer, Football, field hockey all on one field, I'd recommend field turf but mainly for durablity more than cost. But if you're talking about an SEC stadium that only sees 6-8 games a year. it's not.

Grass and it's not close. Football players ought to get dirty. Even with grass though, they put so much sand under the turf that no one gets dirty even in down pours.

Yea, it feels like big bags of sand. Just like tits.

If I was a player, I'm sure I would prefer grass.

As a spectator, IDGAF.

Who's making the turf? Hopefully the flyout will be minimal...that shite's nasty during a game.

Sunny days or night games there is usually a horrible glare. Our high schools around here have turf but I can kind of understand that because they do so much on it; high school games, JV, middle schools, soccer, etc. Any bad weather early in the season and the grass fields were a mud bath. Not so for college fields, though.

I'm a golf course supt. There is no doubt a healthy turf is way better in every facet. One huge problem in keeping fields in good shape are the stadiums. The upper decks block too much sun. Limited hours in full sun in conjunction with wear and tear is hard to over come.

I have heard Tiger Stadium has had a problem with that in the Southwest corner of the field. We don't have that problem. We did have a fungus problem a few years ago with everything outside of the hash marks was pretty much dead

Bryant Denny has huge shade issues. They resod every June. Tiger Stadium has similar issues
