You mean once every team was allowed to pay players, not just the apple of the SEC's eye?

If you think Alabama lost to Vandy because Alabama's talent levels lowered and Vandy's went up, I don't know what to say honestly.

That was F embarrassing to read (article).

We're in a world of shite. You have to pay these pricks to come play and then kiss their arse to attend meetings.

DeBoer is a good coach- who is now walking in the footsteps of THE giant of all football giants. That's a nearly impossible task he's facing. Frankly, it took a hell of a lot of guts just to take THAT on.

Y'all act like everyone on this board hasn't been posting "tehDecline" for the past however many years.

It can't be both — either Alabama was at the pinnacle of the sport and this guy is the worst coach in history, or this was already happening way before he got there.

Pick a lane, people!!

Well saban went the last 3 years of his tenure losing multiple games in each of them and 0 national titles. Let's not act like this is the first yera bama hasn't been elite. This will be year 4 in a row of multiple losses and no national title.

We're now in "worst of the saban era/best we could hope for under shula" territory. Time will tell how far the decline will go.
