But y'all don't apparently. Reign in your gumps before they go full gump. Sims is awesome but let's not get carried away.

I don't expect him to win a Heisman. He's not the best QB in the SEC either. But you know why there's backlash on this. The entire offseason consisted of rantards judging him on the spring game. The transition is nothing short of impressive.

Every name was given its grade for a very specific reason.

He's meshed with Kiffin better at this point and has had Amari bailing him out. I think y'all are getting ahead of yourselves.

Reason Bama offense is finally good:

1. Kiffin. I have said it since day 1. If Bama wins a natty in the next two years it will be because of him.
2. Amari. Holy effing shite that guy does it all. A true mismatch at every level.
3. The running game. Classic Bama.
4. Sims.

Saying Amari has been bailing him out is like saying Kennedy has been bailing Hill out.

Except we've had too much balance. Like 9 different guys have TD catches. Doesn't y'all's tight end not even have a single reception?

Two tight ends have catches. One has a TD catch. Over 10 guys have caught passes besides Coop. Don't believe the narrative.
ETA This despite we still run more than we throw.

Actually 3 TEs have catches

First two of the year though, right?

Blake has been impressive and Coop and Kiffin are 2 reasons for that. You also have to give him some credit for putting in the work to be successful.

I do think you rated him a little low, I would put him at around 70.

Mine look like this

Hill 83
Prescot 75
Bro 72
Sims 70
Marshall 67
Allen 45
LSU QB 25

I think 2-5 are almost interchangable.

if i'm grading based upon this season which i assume we are since trill didn't play previously then brandon deserves higher than a 45 which is below average.

if he's below average then he should have cost us a game or have come close to that- which he has not in the slightest. so, ba gets around a 55 at the min.

Other than being a blatant homer, what distinguishes Hill from the rest of the group by that many points?

PLAYER COMP ATT PCT YDS YDS/A TD INT RAT
Blake Sims 71 97 73.2 1091 11.2 8 2 190.8
Bo Wallace 71 94 75.5 1023 10.9 9 4 190.0

The numbers are almost identical and Dr. Bo has played in probably 5-6 less quarters.

Fair counterpoint. I have also factored in running 30 straight times. If you have an average QB you pass it to prevent them from stacking the box.

Hill has played the best team and looked very good doing it.

Not being a homer either sir. Just looking at what the Qbs have done this year.

And it's just an opinion from an armchair QB. No need to get upset about it.
