Biggest homer on the SEC Rant.

frickin fanatic.

I have it 50/50 which is damn good odds for LSU. Death Valley is a tough place to play, but we come in with a mature team with experience and senior leadership, something we lacked in 07. We also have a bye week before LSU, while they play a tough game in Athens. Meyer is 6-0 at Florida coming off a bye week (9-1 if you include bowl games). I like our chances much more this visit to LSU. 05 and 07 were both 4 point losses, tough games.

What it tells you is that a significant portion of the fan base believes a BCS title is a distinct possibility.

The trend in the SEC over the last twelve years IIRC has been for a different team as champs every year.

The trend over the last three has been UF-LSU-UF.

so a bunch of rantards voting that LSU is going undefeated means it's happening now

50% of the people on the rant still think Matt Flynn was better than Russell, so their opinion is really important

pretty sure this is only like the 2nd or 3rd time Ive commented on this game. I looked back on my posts and all I can see is I predicted a 31-17 win for UF.

Feel free to show otherwise

i might give lsu a closer game than that but i don't think they will win. they very well might, but i don't believe so.

then again i don't think lsu will win in athens either, so i can understand where a favorite team bias is coming from.

Perhaps I had you confused with another Gator fan then. I'd apologize, but the homer comment by you more than offsets that.

It's not like I just threw my prediction out there. I gave reasons, based on what I've read on every team's spring practices, who's coming back and who isn't.

Based on all that, I like our team's chances against yours. and if LSU does win in TS, you'd have to be a flagrant homer in your own right not to believe the Tigers wouldn't win in Atlanta, too.

LSU would have a lot more upside, the defense will have settled more into the new system, and most importantly JJ will have had more reps at QB.

Thank god for Georgia getting whip by Florida worse than us. It takes a little of the sting out.

Are you usually this dense, or is it just early.

He called me a homer. And I guess the whole "more upside" part just sailed right over your head.

If you're not even going to pretend to be open minded, I'm done here.

florida's best is better than lsu's best. lsu does not have a higher ceiling than florida.

beating them at your place does not clinch a victory in atlanta at all and does not make people homers for thinking florida would win the rematch.

you suck

Man I feel bad about this but 75-25 or 80-20 in UF's favor. In 07 UF came within 5 minutes of winning against your National Championship winning team which despite 2 (I think it was two maybe it was only one, I've been out all night my memory is fuzzy) key fumbles by the gators, required what was it 4 4th down conversions or something? This years team won't stand for it. The game may not be a blow out but I don't think LSU will win or look good in defeat. I'm thinking 30-17 sounds like a good prediction. With LSU scoring late to make it look closer.

Maybe I'm being a complete homer, but barring some sort of freak turnover situation A la Ole Miss, I really don't see any team scoring more than 14 against our team. Our defense is just too good. Frankly I don't see LSU's offense as being all that impressive. We held your best back last year to all of like 67 yards, 35 of which came at the end of the game. JJ doesn't scare anyone with his arm and even if he was worrisome, we have the best secondary in the SEC. Olemiss easily has the most proven O in the West this year, and even they don't scare me much.

This game is the gators to lose, as is every game until a championship game this year. The gators are just that stacked at least, mind you, on paper.

Should we just not play the games and award Florida the title then? Sounds like no one will even get close to their goal line.

Nah you should score when our backups are in at the end of the game

But seriously 5/14 teams last year scored more than 14 points against us. Of them, 2 scored 21 or more. Why is it so unreasonable to think that the gators will see similar if not better results than last year, when we returned everyone on defense?

I say we have a 20% chance of winning. This is the game fla. is pointing to as their toughest so they will be well prepared and focused. LSU has a tough game before the FU game while they are off. If the roles were reversed I say 60/40 in our favor. Schedule does not favor us in any of the big games this year.
