2024 is a one-off schedule, correct? I seem to remember 2025 and beyond is still be worked for rotational purposes.

Easiest path to NC, will not be thru the SECC. Extra game, tough opponent, potential to lose late and get left out. 10-2 and no SECC birth is sweet spot to get into playoffs for SEC teams.

there will likely be at least 4 SEC teams in the playoffs going forward most years, so yeah it makes the conf championship games kind of pointless (and a chance for injuries) except for bragging rights
