Who here has had Vietnamese?
I have.
It's good, but it's not near as good as Korean or Thai food imo.

I don't think we have any korean places here
First place I had it was at a private home. I went to an international market to get some Indian (red dot, not woo woo) spices and saw an old Korean lady. Began speaking to her. She invited me to try some. I went to dinner and was hooked.

DC, I have had that before. I think Korean is much better than Chinese also.

ME TOO!!!
I have been cooking my whole life... I LOVE to cook... and I have collected recipes from everywhere I have been, and inherited them from family members... I LOVE reading cookbooks.
That said, I am a spontaneous cook... I never follow a recipe exactly...

I have!
We also had a Tia place in Collierville that was really good, but it closed down this past summer. It had the best egg rolls around.
Korean beef can't be beat though.

I've had it at amazing restaurants in New York and San Fran, but they were fancy French/Vietnamese.
I tend to agree though, it's a little too bland.

Old TV show.
I'm gonna send you a pic one day of me and the family that leased a helicopter in Tennessee. IT WAS SWEEEEEET. The kids loved it and now want to marry pilots.
