Pure Hate, FSU is bigger, Miami is actually very close on the hate meter, just don't play them very much any more.

Pure rivalry/tradition UGA is bigger. Sadly, UT has just been too irrelevant lately to matter a lot on the rivalry front

UGA is a huge rival and colorful series. Remember that the "girls school" didn't go coed until 1947 and was previously known as the Florida State College for Women.

The girls school was down trodden in the 1950s and 60s and were usually homecoming fodder for bigger schools. Their usual schedule consisted of Wofford, Citadel and Wake, etc etc. Then in 1980s they profited when UF went on probation that few schools have ever suffered...1985-1986 no TV, a big reduction of schollys etc etc. They then became hated for their slezzy cheating ways. So many instances of players who should have been in prison being allowed to play for them.

UGA on the other hand, was a rival we played for many years, dating back to the early 1900s and a lot of storied games. Since the 1930s we have played almost all of the games in Jax.

The Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables was a rival that we played every year along the girls school...actually the U almost closed down their football program in the early 1970s because of financial problems. They always lacked a fanbase and most of the students were yankees and miserable creatures. The last several times they played at the Swamp UF had to have sanitation crews spray degreasers on all the visitors seats. Some of their "fans" were gangs who roamed down University Blvd wanting to start fights.
