Statistics, meaning facts, are what tell everyone our defense is "vaunted". Assuming anything different is just being a biased rival. To answer your question, more than twenty kids had to run when they got back because they broke curfew for four hours the day before the game. The same reason for the the majority of oddly scored bowl games, usually one team cares a whole lot more
