I’m just saying, Georgia fans are sure quick to forget Kirby’s first year. He barely beat Nicholas state and choked against vandy and Georgia tech

I look at Bentley as a very solid and capable SEC QB, he just needs to cut down his INTs.

It's not hype ... some of it is just backtalk to the UGA fans who have been overdoing it this offseason.
About the QB thing though, and in all seriousness, Bentley is past is sophomore jinx year, and he really wasn't that bad last year except in two games ... Kentucky and Clemson and the Kentucky game was on Roper, the Clemson game he was scared.
He was also still just a kid. People forget he should have been a true freshman last year.
He's game.
But here's the other part about Gamecock QB this year. We've got more than one. We've actually got four. Bentley, Scarnecchia, Urich and Joyner. All four have now had a Spring and Summer and are about to have a Fall under Dan Werner.
I've said it several times since this last January ... Dan Werner was the biggest recruit in this past class.
Scarnecchia is a capable backup.
Urich is going to be a gem. Just a RFr, bigger than Bentley but he can run. Werner says Urich reminds him a lot of Matt Jones.
Joyner is a cherry but he'll play this year. Wildcat packages maybe, who knows. Freshmen get four games ... one of his will be against UGA for a play or two and we'll see what he can do.
Point being, we're not a one trick poney back there anymore.
UGA has two right? A true sophomore due a sophomore jinx in Fromm, and sophomore jinxes are real things in college football.
Then they have the new kid, I forget his name. Fields maybe? I don't know much about the others except the Vaughn kid.
UGA has every bit the QB issues as SC ... if either team has any.

You forgot his first game ever head coaching on a national stage where he beat UNC in the Chick fil a classic.

Maybe you don't know this but in 2016 he was supposed to be a HS senior. He enrolled at Carolina after his Junior year in HS, was going to redshirt but Boom pulled his redshirt off for the Tennessee game.
Last year he should have been a true freshman had he played his senior year in HS.
This year would have been his true Sophomore year ... but he got that Sophomore jinx thingy outta the way last year.
Maybe you didn't know that.

I mean, that’s a little dense to not deny there’s significantly more talent in Athens now than there was his first year.
One player was drafted in the 2017 Draft Class.

The reason he was a junior is because his daddy held him back a year. He simply moved back up to where he was supposed to be the whole time. He isn’t a year younger than other 2016 freshmen.
