Good game. Hope you enjoy the sweep.
I bet he was well into the 100's. 8 k's, 10 hits.

WPS!
Good to see we came back.
On an off note, just got back from watching Atlas Shrugged. Very strong movie, I highly recommend it if anyone is interested.

quote:Right at 100. We throw 6, 7 or 8 pitchers a game most games. We keep a guy throwing that has us in a game. You hate Cohen and it doesn't matter what he does. Ever heard hind sight is 20/20?
I have no idea what Stratton's pitch count was coming into the 8th, but I'm sure it was well in the 100's... I don't necessarily have a problem with him starting the 8th, but as soon as the first runner got on, he should have got him out then. What a dumb arse.

Lil disappointed in Sanburn...only hit 94 mph tonight. He was hitting 97 in Tuscaloosa

Oh, and the Hogs are now on a 7 game win streak

I don't hate Cohen. He was my choice when we started the search. I just know he doesn't know how to handle our staff. There were several games last year & this is the 3rd or 4th game that's he f up this year. It's common sense to take the pitcher out, when it's that late in the game & he's pitched so well.... So when it comes to the point, do not leave the pitcher in, to where he can suffer getting the loss.
Not with Cohen.

I said Stratton needed to come out after the lead off guy got on to start the 8th. Now sit down and shut the frick up.

Tough loss but with the way Strat was going, he earned the 8th...there is no excuse for Strat giving up the HR to the guy again. Thats just poor pitching, not because he was tired...

Just checking in, looks like everyone is getting along.
Good game MState, good luck the rest of the series (but not too much).
