Why do they intend on messing with a good thing? 12 is enough.

FSU is a good fit for the SEC.

I hope they don't let those scumbags in. I don't want them getting SEC money.

That's pretty much what the Big 10 and Pac 10 said when the SEC and other conferences expanded. Now they are scrambling to catch up.
The SEC isn't leading the efforts to expand, but if the Big 10 does, the SEC will have to follow.

You do realize that they would also be bringing money in, right?

would make Florida v. Florida State a much better game than years past.
The question would be, would they be added to the East or West.

SEC owns college football

They don't have a ton of finacial backing in the AD. Bobby Veteod the offer last time because the SEC is too large, let's see what they do now. They would be no better than SC or ARky IMHO.

What money would they bring?
They can't afford to pay for their own athletic budget. The state has to cover their deficit.
They can't sell out their stadium. Maybe they would sell out playing an SEC schedule but I'm not so sure about that. Tally is a long way away from almost everything. Their fans don't take losing well in that they stop traveling to Tally.
What new market would they open up for the SEC?

I would like to see Ga Tech back in the SEC.
Obviously, there would need to be some conference realignment. I would think Vanderbilt would more than likely be moved to the West.
Give the west one academically reputable school (Vandy) and the east the other (Ga Tech) lol.

No way...that would give you guys Vandy, MSU AND ARKY...that's like 3 ivy league schools right there. It would make the East look bad.

I think being in the SEC is what FSU needs to get back to a perennial power.
The ACC doesn't have the allure the SEC can offer. From day 1, if this happened, $$$ pours in.

They could benefit but they can hardly beat Wake Forest anymore, so I know they would have a hard time with Vandy.

Umm...just throwin this out there but according to mapquest Tuscaloosa is 314 miles to Tallahassee, while Gainesville is 464.87. I'm pretty sure every SEC school would have a shorter drive to Tally over Gainesville.

So basically have the scenario of either Texas/Texas A&M or FSU and another acc team whether that be clemson, georgia tech, or miami
Anyway it could be one ACC team and one Big 12 team?
