miles has had a 10 year run almost unequaled in sec history, topped only by coaches who are considered legends and did it in the most competitive era of sec football ever, way more so than the legends who are ahead of him. yet, he's only the 8th best coach right now. yeah, that makes sense. here's the real ranking:
Saban
Spurrier/Miles
Richt
Freeze/Mullen
jury is still out on the rest until they coach 5 seasons in the sec.

I'd have Miles as a clear #2, Spurrier at 3, followed by Richt, Pinkel and then Malzahn.

Seem about right. It all depends on what they are going by . If it's the opinion of how good they are , the results in their career or at current job or how good they have done for the school they have. I would move Spurrier and Pinkel up one.

What's funny here is that LSU fans will bitch and moan to the very end about Miles. Talk about how bad they hate him when he loses.
But, but.... when someone else says he's not a very good coach, all hell breaks loose. It's an awesome thing to behold.
