The Jags knew they were done with Fournette in his second season when he gave minimal effort in returning to the field after his hamstring injury while gaining a bunch of weight. That's why they suspended him after the fight in order to void his contract guarantees. If Fournette was still viewed as the #4 pick, star HB they would build their team around, there is no way he is getting suspended over a minor fight and his guarantees voided in only year 2.

Unlike the Browns, they couldn't figure out a way to trade him for a 1st rounder in the midst of his 2nd season once they knew he was a loser.

my mistake. Though i forgot that Trent did the same

Hey...I'm not in this and really don't care. Fournette was great in college and did very well in the pros.

I just happened to be reading the thread and saw your post, so I checked on it and couldn't resist.

People get way too invested in past players and needing their current and past players to be considered the best.

Former Jaguars’ RB Leonard Fournette officially went unclaimed on waivers today, per source.

Fournette — who has rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns since being drafted fourth overall in 2017 — is now a free agent.
