Every single time a player from Louisiana talks about catching heat from LA residents, posters on this board cry about how he is just looking to start shite. As if these division 1 SEC football players really need some bullshite drama with people they interact with all the time about the school they choose. Maybe they get asked questions during an interview about it, or maybe they think it's weird grown adults feel the need to let children know their opinions on where that kid furthers his academic and athletic career.

Except that's not true at all, and I just gave you four recent examples of when it didn't happen. As many others have pointed out, every fanbase has its share of fricking retards, but in general people here are happy to see a kid make it as long as he doesn't feel the need to talk shite for no reason a la ya boy carter.
Eta: it couldn't be more clear this kid feels slighted he didn't get an offer before camping when we had higher in state and oos dbs on the board, not sure why y'all want to fight this one tooth and nail when the timeline is plain as day.

I get it. We are on an off shoot of the largest LSU message board on the web. We get a good view of all the crazies. We all have them. But in this day and age of constant barb throwing between fanbases on the rant, this is my favorite one to poke LSU fans about.

From our side, a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are the only big game in town.
When you are a great football player from Louisiana, it is expected that you go to LSU and no where else. Its what you are supposed to do.
When they leave, some people get pissed. When they leave and go to Bama some people go bat shite crazy.
All fan bases have people that get mad when recruits leave the state, just trying to shed light on our side.

I only read the first few pages of this thread but I get a kick out of Alabama fans getting all high and mighty over a fanbase taking football too seriously. Like of all the fans to throw stones, its the idiots killing each other and sending death threats to players? ok.
