You know, you're a multi millionaire, set for life, in good physical shape,...how does one eff up so badly. I don't understand it.

I think the only reason could be the hubris. The being catered-to or something. I dunno, it doesn't happen to every big time athlete so that's not really a good excuse. Guy just has a bad gene or something.

I think you can add that someone like that simply can't appreciate what they have and have to live "hard" because its the only way they've lived.
