20 year LSU reign.

How can that be since LSU is losing to Bama next year?

All those teams had schemes that allowed their QBs to thrive. And then when the generational talent graduated, the productivity fell. Unless you’re replacing Burrow with an equally talented and experienced player, there will be drop off. This is so simple it’s not even worth discussing.

Again, this is a straw man argument. 2 of the teams didn’t have the supporting to cast to take the pressure off the new QB. One of them changed OCs and systems in the offseason. Hell, Cam Newton was SUPPOSED to be Tebow’s replacement and he fricked it up. That offense would have been even better if he had stepped right in. UF ended up with Brantley, who was a terrible fit in their system because of it. None of these are exactly the same as LSU next year, but you know that.

Assuming he wins the job, Brennan fits LSU’s system. He will have most of a very good O Line back, a couple of 5 star backs to run the ball, the highest rated TE recruit of all time, and two of the best WRs in the SEC around him.

He won’t be Burrow but the job of the staff is to make sure he doesn’t have to be. More balance in the run game, a little more QB run and more short and intermediate passing letting the athletes make the big plays (like Bama this year) will all be likely adjustments to keep the offense moving.
