We should be ranked ahead of USC, due to the fact of more wins. Get off yalls arse, bring in 2 more teams and then you can argue your point. Until then, you play one less game and lost to a worse team than us. Bama deserves to be ahead of USC by virtue of more wins and only loss to a top 2 team.

The Pac 10 sucks every year. It is p*ssy a** conference. Just like the Big 12.

12-0 or 11-1 at worst. We would smoke Bama at home, no doubt. Neutral site vs Florida would be only possible chance of a loss,
I totally agree with you bro.

Yep LSU has won all of their games vs PAC-10 teams and USC has won all of our games vs SEC teams (by a ridiculous average MOV I might add). Overall the PAC-10 has dominated the SEC. Go to the More Sports Board, there is a thread on it, though I believe it is on the 2nd page. I can post it here if you like. It shows all the matchups for this decade.

Here you guys go.
Per request here is the matchups of the SEC vs The PAC-10 this decade. Many SEC types disregard the PAC-10's winning record over the SEC as top PAC-10 teams playing lower SEC teams. So here is an objective look at the games. I decided to show the venue of each game and the regular season conference record of each team as opposed to conference standing. I figured showing the regular season record is more informative than just conference standing. I will break it down year by year. Also done from a PAC-10 point of view so a W is a win for the PAC-10 and Home is home for the PAC-10 team.
2000: UCLA (3-5) W Home over Alabama (3-5)
2001: UCLA (4-4) W Road over Alabama (4-4)
2002: USC (7-1) W Home over Auburn (5-3)
Oregon (3-5) Home over Miss. St (0-8)
2003: USC (7-1) W Road over Auburn (5-3)
Arizona (1-7) L Home to LSU
2004: Oregon St (5-3) L OT Road to LSU (6-2)
2005: USC (8-0) W Home over Arkansas (2-6)
ASU (4-4) L Home to LSU (7-1)
2006: USC (7-2) W Road over Arkansas (7-1)
WSU (4-5) L Road to Auburn (6-2)
CAL (7-2) L Road to Tennessee (5-3)
Arizona (5-4) L Road to LSU (6-2)
2007: CAL (3-6) W Home over Tennessee (6-2)
2008: ASU (3-6 or 4-5) L Home to Georgia (6-2)
Ucla (2-7) W over Tennessee (3-5)
In the even matchups (same record or within 1 and accounting for Home Field advantage) The PAC-10 leads 4-1 and also the PAC-10 was won a big miscmatch where the SEC has not.
Clearly the PAC-10 has demonstrated dominance in head to head matchups this decade, at least IMO

The Pac 10 sucks...It always will. USC does not play anybody.

Interesting response. It is about as well thought out as can be expected from a southerner.

Look everyone has opinions and they are just giving theirs like you are giving yours. Just because we are southern doesn't mean we are stupid. Dang I hate when people think like this.

Don't sweat him Cutie, he knows Bama owns and pays property tax in L.A. He's just trying to flame a bit.

All you have to do is look at what I wrote, with raw unbiased data, and check his response. If you cannot see the difference then I cannot see any hope for you either.

How about we take the games where there may still be players on the team.
2006: USC (7-2) W Road over Arkansas (7-1)
WSU (4-5) L Road to Auburn (6-2)
CAL (7-2) L Road to Tennessee (5-3)
Arizona (5-4) L Road to LSU (6-2)
2007: CAL (3-6) W Home over Tennessee (6-2)
2008: ASU (3-6 or 4-5) L Home to Georgia (6-2)
Ucla (2-7) W over Tennessee (3-5)
SEC leads 4-3. Hardly dominance by the Pac10.
2006: USC (7-2) W Road over Arkansas (7-1)
WSU (4-5) L Road to Auburn (6-2)
CAL (7-2) L Road to Tennessee (5-3)
Arizona (5-4) L Road to LSU (6-2)
2007: CAL (3-6) W Home over Tennessee (6-2)

I don't even care what you guys are arguing about, I was talking about everyone in general giving their opinions just like you and then you saying that about being a southerner.

MJ you can put all the stats you want. The Pac 10 still sucks and it will always will. Why doesn't USC join a real conference and play football?
Posted on 12/7/08 at 1:33 am to Alahunter
I for one would really like to see a UGA-Oregon game. I don''t think they are really too much better than us. Our D is really tough on the option.

OU and Texas should both be ranked higher than Florida. All 3 have 1 loss, and Oklahoma and Texas have stronger SOS's. Better losses as well.
because every team in that big 12 conference is a clone of itself? high scoring no defense playing.
oh by the way.. i like how usc put up a whopping 28 on ucla today.
Posted on 12/7/08 at 1:39 am to beauchristopher
Did you also like how we held them to 153 yards?
Posted on 12/7/08 at 1:41 am to MJRuffalo
Yeah.. really kicked the tar out of a 4 win team.

USC's big game pedigree I take USC all day.
Like when they played Texas for the title? You mentioned the SEC not winning against the MWC, how many teams played them? Tennesse? Wasn't it Notre Dame who scheduled the PAC 10 last year to get 2 of there three wins? The other win being Duke, yes you should be so proud. If you think Oregon can beat Georgia so easily you are the delusional one. The team who proved to be talentless without Dixon last season. Not to mention another PAC 10 team that Boise State calls their bitch. (They lost at home in that one too.) The PAC 10 is 1-4 versus Boise St. since 2004. Oregon would lose to Georgia and you said Florida would only have a chance on a neutral site, how about home field? I think they could handle playing at USC, Stanford sure had no problem there.
I grew up in PAC 10 country, back when USC was horrible up to their glory days. The talent is in the SEC, the better teams are in the SEC. Your conference has 10 teams and two of them are considered to be the worst in all of college football. Half your conference did not even make it to 500 this year. Your conference is weak and I would take the SEC over the PAC 10 from top to bottom any day. SEC would come away with more wins.
