Our pass rush needs to be able to get after it. What’s our chances of 5+ sacks?

Oline has been surprisingly good. Getting really good push in the running game and qbs have had all day to throw. Since they are both mobile I think we’ve only given up one sack this year.

I doubt Alabama gets 5+ sacks. Uf doesn’t throw enough for that. Real question is how well can Uf run the ball. If they can’t run it’ll be a massacre.

Ehhhh.

Emory tends to hold onto the ball for longer than he should.

If AR plays majority of snaps(I don't think that will happen) I doubt 5+. They've been okay so far but it wasn't against anything like they will see Saturday.

Honestly it's really hard to say I mean against FAU & USF they have looked good.

We will truly find out Saturday if the O-line has really improved or only looked good because of our opponents thus far.

O line not bad actually, but i agree with the guys above, EJ telegraphs his throws too much and slowly.

Bama is 2 deep in excellent pass rushers across the line. However, our best one is Will Anderson and he is listed as "questionable" for this game due to an injury he sustained last week.

They’re a big group, all at least 6’4 300lb. Been able to get a good push in the run game so far this season. Mullen schemes pretty well against sacks, so 5 allowed would be a bit high. Emory Jones holds onto the ball too long sometimes so he is susceptible, but he scrambles when he feels pressure.

I know EJ hate is in vogue right now for Florida fans but the question is about the ol why do people keep pissing on EJ in an oline thread?

I bet the Alabama pass rush will be disruptive, but I think it’ll just make EJ run more. How many of those runs will turn into sacks? Hard to say.

If you mean tackles for losses, that is hard to say. I haven't watched UF this year, if they like to try and outflank a defense around the ends, then they will have issues with the speed of the Bama defense. However, if they run right at them, they may or may not get enough yards, but they will surely have less tackles for losses.

Because if/when a QB (Emory Jones in this case) tends to hold on to the ball for too long it normally will end in a sack or a negative play.

Our online has been decent but our blocking outside is key as well. We have big WRs and they have to help open up the run game on the outside. Shorter and Copeland are very big dudes.

It’s a classic spread and shred. Lots of runs up the middle mixed with passes and runs attacking the edge sprinkled with deep balls.

Florida has only given up 1 sack and 7 TFL in two games. Of those, Emory took only one of those.

Feels much more like a LOS game than last season's matchup. If Emery Jones isn't throwing on target all night it looks ominous for the gators.

Gonna be more about if UF can run to the outside.

They’ve got good running QBs, an improved OL, good RBs, and large WRs who can help with outside runs.

I think that’s the game. If they can use their size outside it might open some stuff up for them.

Last year Uf had to pass to win.

This year if they can’t run they are dead.

Emory is also a turnover machine right now.

I still think this is a blow out but UFs only chance is old school control LOS and run the ball. Lol. Good luck with that.

The O-Line is better than most think it is. I doubt 5+ sacks is in the future for bama Saturday, but it depends on if Mullen can stick to the basics and not get cute. The right side is strong with Delance and Reese. Equakun looks promising at center, he’s smart and can see the D’s formations. Gouraige and White on the left side did a good job and gained experience last year.

P.S. Grantham is our DC
Jones is our QB
