McIlwaines last class was 14th in the country. Take all the players that are gone from last years class and I imagine last years class would have been worse than #14. In 2017 he had the #11 class.

So using your logic, Mcelwain's 2017 class that ranked 11 and had an average player rating of 89.11 would be better than Ohio State's 2019 class that ranked 14 but had an average player rating of 91.87

Clemson and Auburn BOTH would have passed you when you lost Steele.

Dude. You lost a kid whose rating was .9782 and another one that was .9001. That doesn't even take into count the other guys.

And if you're so concerned about it go to the UF class calculator (I know it's probably bookmarked on your computer) and take those players out of the class and come back and tell me the average player rating...I'll wait.

Depends on how many people were recruited and what positions.

Ohio State only signed 17 players while Florida signed 25. Ohio State didn't have as many players to drag their average down.

I looked for it and couldn't find the calculator, because i was genuinely interested. it's actually an interesting topic.

Found it. Hold and I will check.

258.81 is the revised Florida 2019 class. Good for 15th in the country. 7th in the conference.

No no no, you only care about where the teams are ranked remember...

Don't go moving the goal post now.

I came up with the same one. It does not figure the average rating for the class, though, and I don't have the time to do all the figuring. If any of you do, have at it. I do see that you lost 3-4 players with .90000 rating or higher, though.

It doesn't give it. As I said you lost 3-4 players with .9000 rating or higher. Steele was the one that would have put the real dent into it.

Okay. Then he answered your question. Last years class would have dropped to 15th in the country. Better?

McIlwaine had a #11 class. Case closed by your standards. McIlwaine had at least two classes better than what Mullen had this past year when factoring in players lost.

In fairness, though, I don't know if McIlwaine lost any players. (I'm sure he did, as most teams have some attrition)

You are the only person i know of that consistently strays from a thread title and then claims everybody else is moving the goalposts.
