My brother graduated from the Journalism school and he has a pretty damn good job at the Spirit. Easy money when they're all homers.

Most people don't refer to the Med Center as ole miss.

incorrect. Going through Journalism school is much like going through Business school. And Journalism is NOT a dying profession fwiw. Some people just have a skewed idea of what journalism actually is.

Oh, State. "Journalism is dying". Nope. It isn't that less people are getting the news, they just are not getting it from the papers. Journalism is just moving online. Se the NYT, they plan to go all-internet by 2020.

first class of med school the teacher's first words were, "For you out there who completed your undergrad at the ag school I have some news for you. This isnt vet school, this isnt farm school, this is med school and we require you to dress properly, no overalls at the university of mississippi".
Its not all OM people, but it is run by OM people

This.

and as far as CDawg's comment about "True Journalism is dying".....refer back to my previous post.

And just because you're in Journalism school doesn't mean you're going to be a reporter.

you have your head in the sand. Just b/c it's going digital plays no part into what I'm saying here. Either you're trying to defend your major or school, but neither has anything to do with my post.

Never said it did. My friend majored in it and went to law school afterwards.

no shite. it's University of Mississippi Medical Center. Only ole miss douche bags would say, I'm going to ole miss medical school. Everyone I've ever known refers to it as Mississippi Med Center. Not ole miss medical school.

Unless somehting has changed in the last 10 years.

And we're saying that it isn't dying at all. It's just changing.

Which is why our Journalism School is technically called School of Journalism and New Media.

I stand by my original statement that most people have a skewed view of what Journalism actually is. Journalism will never die and will NEVER be a dying profession.

You obviously don't get it. You're the person that I'm talking about when I'm saying people have a skewed idea of Journalism.

Your idea of Journalism obviously isn't a correct one if you think it's dieing
