Players got books for their girlfriends. Hardly anything to get a competitive advantage. It was stupid and the football players were suspended and forced to pay retribution.

Then they went and sold them back to the bookstore for cash. So instead of them getting a check handed to them by an Alabama booster they got it from the bookstore

During the Albert Means case, the head of the NCAA infractions committee said the NCAA would give the gumps the death penalty if they ever appeared before that committee again.

There's no way a program can guarantee that they will never go before the infractions committee again at some point in the distant future. I would take that to mean in the window of ever how many years after the original penalties were announced. Aren't they outside of the repeat offender window by now, it's been 7 years or so since the original infractions?

It's reported that the violation occurred within the window.

The statement about giving the gumps the death penalty might be bullshite, but the head of the NCAA infractions committee really did make that statement

yep, which showed how badly they wanted to upstage and punish and showed his bias towards them in that case, imo.

my reading glasses must be letting me down. One SEC fan isn't accusing another SEC school of being known for 'racism' ?

The gumps campus is run by an organization called the machine. They are as racist as any group of people that you can find on any college campus in the entire United States.

A few years ago people asscoiated with the machine threatened to put a noose around a black student's neck and hang him from a tree just because he decided to run for the gumps SGA president.

You can take your pictures from the Halloween party at Auburn and shove them up your arse

So, you make claims with no evidence, yet your folks actually DID dress up in Klan outfits and black face, and now your butt is hurt?

Here is the article about people associated with the machine threatening to put a noose around a black student's neck and hang him from a tree just because he decided to run for the gumps SGA president. Several other racial inicdents that have taken place on the gumps campus are also mentioned in this article.
