I'm not sure what you're talking about there but he should have apologized. taking accountability is the first step to moving past any mistake. the culture of accountability at Alabama is one of the things that sets it apart from other programs. this fanning letter is a prime example.

This is his tackling style that he learned at Auburn High. We are still trying to correct it.
In his high school highlights, he picks a kid up by his shoulder pads and starts playing whack a mole with him.
In the spring game, he made Yeldon look like a small child with a one handed get your arse back here tackle.
It's going to take some time and patience from you all, but it should be worth it in a year or two. He's going to be fun to watch.

Setting aside his mistake on the tackle, he should be commended for turning the other cheek to the retaliation and not letting the situation worsen and end up in a brawl.
Yep, he just laughed it off, good for him.
I really can't believe how much people (mostly non-Missouri fans interestingly enough) are upset by this play. It was a little intense, but it's not even against the rules to pick a player up or drive a player into the ground to make a tackle. Fanning just didn't know the Missouri RB was such a lightweight.

Haha. I was trying to come up with a screen name and I looked on the TV and lil Timmy was having one of his sorry little crying fits AGAIN! So I thought it would be fitting. I have been waiting for him to fade into 2nd string obscurity in the NFL and the media just won't let him go.

I loved that tackle. If you don't want to play in with the big dogs then get out of the yard. I think that was completely worth it.

why did he allow D.J. Hall to play in the 2nd half of the La. Monroe game?
Prolly cause it was senior day and the last game DJ would ever play in at BDS.

If TM had been at Bama, he'd still be playing.
Fact.
Fact.

Saban also said he will decide on whether or not to suspend Slive this weekend just for the frick of it..

Yeah when does Shaw get his letter of apology?
shaw is the one that left his feet while under pressure. Anyone that thinks that hit is dirty is fricking retarded. Shaw had left his feet to pass and Roscoe hit him right after the ball left his hand. Shaw shouldn't leave his feet if he doesn't want to get hit like that.

Im not really that upset. I just think the apology is kind of questionable and am falling out of my chair laughing at the "patting on the back" going on because of the apology while all along the twitter page is there proving he doesnt give a shite and is proud of the hit.
Kid should get a game. Thats where the lessons are learned. Not by some apology letter that is obviously BS.

I'm just going to go ahead and offer my two cents on this subject. My fellow Alabama fans, don't even bother posting in this thread. All it is is a bunch of LSU and Auburn fans expressing faux outrage over a play that 75% of them probably thought was awesome. Me? Personally? I thought he should have been taken out of the game right there and then. But he's young and he'll learn. If he doesn't then I am not ashamed to call a Bama player a thug. I did it for Juwan Simpson and DJ Hall. It won't hurt my feelings to have to call LaMichael Fanning a thug POS either if the time ever comes.
But 'Bama fans. Just ignore this thread. It's filled to the brim with g00bs just trying to get a rise out of you.
