If he resided in another state then of course I don't think we'd have a legit shot at him.
Trying to lock down in-state talent is the biggest factor here, in my opinion. Auburn was apparently close to taking 4* OL Evan Boehm from us, and losing DGB would probably affect future recruiting in a negative way.
Before the arkytards come in bragging about Wingo, realize that we have been losing recruits to Big 10 schools and and course SEC schools for awhile now. If Mizzou wants to actually compete in the best league in the country then we need to take advantage of local talent in a major way.
